Fewer and Farther Between

In the Market offseason, my posts will probably vary in frequency, so check back often!

Found an interesting article (via Twitter) on comparing farmers market produce prices to grocery stores, down in San Francisco. Dave Stockdale found that--no surprise--his local farmers market was more expensive than Safeway conventional produce but--surprise!--less expensive on organic. This was an informal survey and done purely on price, not on intangibles, naturally.

While our dear BFM has closed until May, don't forget University District and Ballard are still going.
